Faylene A. Derr

Faylene A. Derr, 88, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2026, at home.

She was born January 18, 1938, in Limestone Township, a daughter of the late Fred and Agnes (Zimmerman) Derr.

Faylene was a 1956 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

She was a life member of the Mifflinburg United Methodist Church where she helped with the cookies and Easter egg making. After church on Sundays, Faylene enjoyed going to the Carriage Corner for lunch and had fun discussions with Dave.

Faylene was employed as a cannery supervisor at Walnut Acres, Penns Creek, for 34 years.

She served on the Limestone Township election board for over 50 years.

Faylene enjoyed following Luke’s baseball teams for many years. She was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, loved watching NASCAR and rooting for Bill and Chase Elliott.

Surviving are many cousins and their families; and long-time friend, Bob Rowe.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Derr, Jr.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 27, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, with Rev. Ronald Warfle, officiating.

Burial will be in the Mifflinburg Cemetery.

It was Faylene’s wishes to thank all her friends and neighbors who visited her, brought food, called to check in on her, and was forever grateful for all the help she received from her cousins, Richard and Sue, Cindy and James, and Scott, Steph, Luke, and Tasha.
