Evelyn Marie Heimbach

Evelyn Marie Heimbach, 84, of Shamokin Dam, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 5:56 a.m., Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Oak Glen Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Lewisburg.

She was born July 11,1942, at home in West Perry Township, Snyder County, a daughter of the late Oscar and Emma (Goodling) Kauffman. On July 14, 1962, she married Clair C. Heimbach, who survives.

She was a member of Buffalo Community Church, Lewisburg for over 40 years.

Evelyn was a homemaker, and enjoyed cleaning homes for others, playing piano and accordion, cooking, sewing, assisting with farm jobs at home, and getting phone calls from her close friends.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 64 years, are five sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Kathi Heimbach of Granville Summit, Mervin and Tracy Heimbach of Selinsgrove, Brian and Wanda Heimbach of Selinsgrove, Tim Heimbach of Selinsgrove, and Kevin and Lori Heimbach of Winfield; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Heimbach and Charlotte Heimbach.

She was preceded in death by four siblings and their spouses, Cora and John Weaver, Nora and Sam Weaver, Jim and Mary Louise Kauffman, Orpha and Harold Kratzer; sister-in-law, Miriam Kauffman; two brothers-in-law, Albert Heimbach, and Oran Heimbach.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 12, at Buffalo Community Church, 4445 Hoffa Mill Road, Lewisburg, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Eddy Hostetler, officiating.

Burial will follow in adjoining church cemetery.
