Dorothy M. Shenck

Dorothy M. Shenck, 81, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 11:27 p.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at home.

She was born May 9, 1945, in Frederick, Maryland, a daughter of the late William Gearhard and Edna Ruth (Miller) Ellis. On July 10, 1965, in Carlisle, she married Raymond “Pete” C. Shenck, who preceded her in death July 9, 2025.

Dorothy was a graduate of Carlisle High School.

She was employed as a L.P.N. at Selinsgrove Center for many years.

Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her husband.

Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law, James L. and Sadie Shenck of Mifflinburg; one daughter, Brenda M. Shenck of Mifflinburg; two grandchildren, Anthony and his wife Cassandra Shenck, and Wyatt Shenck and fiancé Rebecca Straub, all of Mifflinburg; three great-grandchildren, Mason Shenck, Mackenna Barrows, and Derek Shenck; and one brother and sister-in-law, Bobbie and Jeanie Ellis of Carlisle.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Ann, William, Eddie, Richard, and David.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
