Dorothy M. Ross, 58, Mifflinburg

Dorothy Mae Ross, 58, of 2005 Wabash Rd. since 1986, entered into rest at 9:20 a.m., Monday, July 27, 2009, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born February 25, 1951 in Lewisburg, a daughter of Dora Mae (Shell) Moll of Pleasant Grove and the late Henry Moll. On October 25, 1986, at the Pleasant Grove Church, she married Boyd E. Ross, who survives.

Dorothy was employed as a nurse's aide at the Selinsgrove Center, and also worked at the Colonel John Kelly Group Home.

She was a member of the Hillside Bible Church, Mifflinburg.

Dorothy loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband of nearly 23 years, is one son Daniel H. Moll and his companion Melissa J. Williams of Mifflinburg; four step-sons, John Hoover of Sunbury, Ronald Ross of Middleburg, Boyd E. Ross, Jr. of Mifflinburg, and Melvin C. Ross of Mifflinburg; one step-daughter, Pam S. Ross of Mifflinburg; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Liz Valentine of Arizona, and Clarence and Linda Valentine of Mifflinburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Henry E. Moll of Mifflinburg; four grandchildren, Cheyenne, Skylar, Briar, and Araya Moll; and 6 step-grandchildren, Michael, David, Casandra, Amanda, David, and Joseph.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Randall Valentine; and two half-brothers, Ralph Moll and Robert Moll.

Visitors may call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the Hillside Bible Church, 1650 Centennial Rd., Mifflinburg. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Forest Hill Cemetery, with Rev. Samuel Knisely, officiating.
