D. Louise Ritter, 96, formerly of 138 Meadow Green Drive, Mifflinburg, for 20 years, entered into rest at 3:40 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2026, at Heritage Springs, Lewisburg.
She was born March 20, 1929, in Elysburg, a daughter of the late Chester J. and Beulah C. (Adams) Pensyl. On May 17, 1952, in the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Mayberry Township, she married Wilbur “Wil” L. Ritter, who preceded her in death December 17, 2011.
Louise was a 1947 graduate of Ralpho Township High School and completed her business degree at Central Penn Business College, Harrisburg.
She was a devoted wife and homemaker. Louise will be remembered as a generous and caring person and an amazing and loving mother.
Louise was a member of Christ’s United Lutheran Church, Millmont.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Sunbury.
Louise enjoyed playing cards, traveling, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Linda Ritter of Summerville, South Carolina; and one daughter, Cindy Sakievich of Pensacola, Florida.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Danny Sakievich; sister, Emma Jean Whitmoyer; and brother, Alvin Pensyl.
Family and friends are welcome to a time of visitation from 10:30 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 11, at Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Rev. John Yost, officiating.
Burial will be in Hartleton Cemetery.
