Delbert L. Kessler

Delbert Lee Kessler, 66, of New Bloomfield, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

“Del” or “Bert” was born April 5, 1959, in Albion, NY, to the late Herbert and Dorothy (Loss) Kessler. 

Del attended Middleburg High School and, in later years, proudly attained his GED. 

Del spent many years as a Truck Driver and retired from work as a Forklift Operator. 

Del married Katherine (Lower) on June 19, 2009, and they shared a love of their fur-babies, Rascal and Yogi. 

Del loved to spend time with his family and friends, grill on his deck, paint in his man cave, play pool, and dote on his wife. Del was an avid antique-shopper, flea marketer and was incapable of passing a yard sale. 

Del was a member of the local Teamsters 776 and the VFW. 

In addition to his wife, Del is survived by his three children, Matthew, Jane, and Jill (and husband Paul), as well as two grandchildren, Jax and Bentley; five sisters, Barbara, Linda (and Frank), Gloria (and John), Brenda (and Allen) and Carol (and Terry), and one brother, Elwood (and Cathy), and sister-in-law Meg. 

Del was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, William and Chester, and one brother-in-law, Tom. 

Del was known for his quick wit and corny dad jokes but was also compassionate and giving. He will be tremendously missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Family and friends are welcome from 1 to 2 p.m., Sunday, November 9, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where a celebration of life will be conducted at 2.
