David Vernon

David R. Vernon, 84, of Lewisburg, died at 8:17 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

He was born July 18, 1939, in Visalia, California, a son of the late Duncan M. and Virginia R. (Howell) Vernon.

David served in the Navy as a Supply Officer from 1963 until his honorable discharge in 1967.

He earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the University of Michigan and worked as a consultant and visiting professor.

David enjoyed traveling widely with his life partner, Lois Huffines, of Lewisburg, who survives.

He is also survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Neil Nolte of Carmichael, California.

Funeral services will be private.
