David M. Foote, 63, Lewisburg

Those are the first words David Maurice Foote wanted in his obituary.

David M. Foote, 63, of Lewisburg, went to be with the Lord at 2:10 a.m., Sunday, April 3, 2011, at his home.

He was born May 25, 1947, in Adrian, Michigan, a son of Welcome E. Foote of Adrian, and the late Norah (Bamber) Foote.

David honorably served in the Army for 3 years as a paratrooper in Viet Nam.

After his honorable discharge, he started Dave Foote Roofing Company which he operated for over 15 years. Dave then moved to Pennsylvania and started The Coin Collector, which will continue to operation with his sister, Pamela Kurutz.

Surviving in addition to his father, are one daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Sean Mullane; and two grandchildren, Kix Mullane and Brooke Foote, all of North Carolina; one sister, Pamela Kurutz of Lewisburg; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Carole Biddex; and two nephews, Trevor Biddex and Alex Kurutz.

In accordance with Dave's wishes, services will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family. He prayed that all who knew him will see him again in heaven.
