Clarion "Pete" D. Miller, Sr.

Clarion “Pete” Douglas Miller, Sr., 78, a lifelong resident of New Berlin, entered into rest at 10:24 a.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at home.

He was born April 23, 1946, in New Berlin, a son of the late Earl Leroy, Sr., and Dorothy Eveline (Wetzel) Miller.  On September 11, 1965, in New Berlin, he married the former Dorothy Faye Herman, who preceded him in death February 2, 2016.

Pete attended Mifflinburg High School.

He was employed at QE Manufacturing and at New Berlin Borough for over 30 years.

Pete dedicated many years volunteering for the New Berlin fire police and enjoyed working security at the Port Royal Speedway.  He also enjoyed coaching girls softball with his wife in New Berlin.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Clarion D., Jr. and Ava Miller of Taneytown, Maryland, and Michael S., Sr. and Amy Miller of Mifflinburg; eight grandchildren, Sara and her husband Andrew Sholley, Michael Miller, Jr. and his wife Caitlyn, Trey Miller, Christopher Miller and his wife Rachael, Kyle Miller, Jackie and her husband Gavin Bucher, Katie and her husband Damion Dove, and Mazeah Hare; and seven great grandchildren, Haylee Sholley, Andrew Sholley, Jr., and Claire, Camryn, Archer, Korra, and Rook Miller.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Jr., Mardean, and Garth Miller.

Funeral services will be private.
