Clair W. Zimmerman

Clair W. Zimmerman, 91, of Lewisburg, entered into rest at 1:20 a.m., Monday, February 26, 2024, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.

He was born February 24, 1933, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Winston H. and Pauline (Troxell) Zimmerman.  In 1952 he married the former Joan Troutman, who preceded him in death in 1994.  In 1996, he married the former Barbara Campbell, who preceded him in death in 2018.

Clair was a 1951 graduate of Lewisburg High School.

He was employed as a truck driver and instructor at Kepler Brothers Professional Drivers and earlier in life he was employed at Colonial Products, Mifflinburg. 

Clair was a member of the Mifflinburg Moose, Roberts Run Hunting Club, Clearfield, and the Black Forest Conservation Association of Coudersport, and the Grumpy Old Men Breakfast Club.

He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fly fishing, and was a Penn State football and Philadelphia Phillies fan. 

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Charlotte Zimmerman of Lewisburg, and Craig and Linn Zimmerman of Selinsgrove; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracie and Jim Tenetylo of Cape Coral, Florida, and Kim and Tim Stump of East Stoudsburg; 5 grandchildren, Angie Zimmerman of Watsontown, Robert Zimmerman of Milton, Kristin Zimmerman of East Stroudsburg, Amanda Moore of Selinsgrove, and Derek Tenetylo of York; and 4 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Jerry Zimmerman of Forest Hill.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Zimmerman.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, March 1, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Janice Garinger, officiating.

Burial will be in the Lewisburg Cemetery.
