LEWISBURG – Cindy Lynn Spinello, 51, of 1012 Hearthstone Way, entered into rest in the loving arms of her husband Greg and son Tyler surrounded by family at 1:59 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2016, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born September 15, 1964, in Doylestown,PA, daughter of Henry “Hank” M. Lanzer of Milton, and the late Constance “Connie” Rieder. On December 8, 1993, in Lewisburg, she married Gregory L. Spinello, who survives.
Cindy was a member of the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren, Mifflinburg,PA.
She was a 1982 graduate of Williamsport High School and 1984 graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology, where she studied dental hygiene and prior to her illness she was accepted into the Physician Assistant program at the college.
Cindy worked as a dental hygienist, for twenty plus years for Dr. Patricia Miller in Turbotville. She also worked in the offices of Dr. Bohn, Dr. Dutrow and Dr. Snyder during her career. Additionally she was an instructor in Dental Hygiene at Penn College.
She was very active in raising funds for cancer research including creating and selling "Cards of Hope" for this cause. Cindy and her husband Greg were advocates in the passing of the Dense Breast Tissue Notification Bill in Pennsylvania. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels, was very active with her son’s sports activities, enjoyed scrapbooking, traveling, spending time with family and friends.
Surviving in addition to her husband,father and stepmother Janet Lanzer, are one son, Tyler D. Spinello of Lewisburg; a step-son, Cory Nogle of Mifflinburg; mother-in-law Jane Spinello; a step-brother, Timothy Evans of Hanover; a step-sister, Sheri and husband Keith Burkland of Danville; a step-brother Brian and wife Angie Bickhart of Danville; a brother David Lanzer and family of South Williamsport and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather William Evans.
Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg and from 10 to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, at the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren, 46 Brethren Church Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 11 am, with Rev. Eric Reamer, officiating.
Burial will be in the Lewisburg Cemetery.
