Charlotte K. Pennypacker, 83, of 300 W. H. Troup Rd., for over 40 years, entered into rest at 10:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.

She was born February 7, 1931, at the homestead of her grandparents, George and Annie Troup, in Mazeppa, a daughter of the late Walter H. and Maude (Baker) Troup. On January 1, 1949, she married Lester Boop, who preceded her in death June 5, 1969. On September 5, 1970, she married W. Ross Pennypacker, who preceded her in death October 7, 1981.

Charlotte attended the Mazeppa Double Room School and was a member of the Lewisburg High School Class of 1949. She studied Art with the Minneapolis, Minnesota School of Art, and attended the Williamsport State Beauty School of Cosmetology. Charlotte was a fashion show director for Sarah Coventry Jewelry for many years.

She was a member of the Buffalo Valley United Methodist Church, Lewisburg.

Earlier in life, she worked at the Neckellet, Lewisburg, in the stock room and printing at the Royal Imprint, Lewisburg, as a floor girl and spreader of material for Quaker Manufacturing Co., Lewisburg. Charlotte worked for many years at the Mifflinburg Moose, Milton Shoe Factory, and Chef Boyardee, Milton.

In 1968, Charlotte became a mixologist, and worked for the Middleburg Hotel and was manager of the Danville American Legion Post 40 until she retired.

She was a 60 year member of the Women of the Moose, Mifflinburg, where she served in almost all of the chairs, was an Academy of Friendship member, and was invested with the College of Regents Degree in 1987 at Moose Heart, Illinois. Charlotte was also a member of the American Legion Auxillary of Lewisburg, National Rifle Association, and AARP.

She enjoyed making big, family meals on the holidays and family gatherings for clam bakes in the summer. In her younger years, Charlotte loved to garden and keep her grounds nice at her home. She enjoyed flowers outside and her home was filled with them. Charlotte collected Boyd's Bears, porcelain dolls, and all kinds of stuffed animals. She enjoyed water and oil painting scenery, feeding the birds, swimming in her pool, lounging in her spa, changing of the seasons, and her pets.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Karol G. and Tina M. Boop of Montoursville, and Scott L. Boop and companion Sandy Herb of Sunbury; one daughter and son-in-law, Judy D. and Kenneth Bowersox of Milton; one brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Patsy Troup of Mazeppa; 5 grandchildren and their spouses, Tancy J. and Jamie Stahl of Milton, Robin K. and Troy Harvey of Millmont, Tonya L. and Grant DeMond of Northeast, Maryland, Travis and Jamie Boop of Roselle, New Jersey; and Matthew Boop of Sunbury; 4 great grandchildren, Trent and Taylor Harvey, Kyle Stahl, and Whitney DeMond; one Step-son, Steve and his wife Lee Pennypacker of Delaware; one step-daughter, Cathy Aurand; and three step-grandchildren, Jason and Corey Pennypacker, and Dana Jo Aurand, all of Delaware.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert; and one sister, Lucina.

Family and friends are welcome from 4 to 5 p.m., Sunday, at the Buffalo Valley United Methodist Church, 954 Johnson Mill Rd., Lewisburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 5 p.m., with Rev. Daniel Hicks, officiating.

Burial will be in the Mazeppa Union Cemetery.
