Charles E. Brown, 76, New Berlin
Charles Edmund Berie Brown, 76, of 720 Vista Heights Dr., entered into rest at 2:05 p.m., Sunday, August 31, 2014, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
He was born October 31, 1937, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Charles and Marguerite (Shaffer) Berie. He was preceded in death by his Step-father, Harvey Brown. On May 25, 1978, in Selinsgrove, he married the former Barbara K. Hollenbach, who survives.
Charles was a 1955 graduate of Northumberland High School.
He was employed as a District Manager for the Harrisburg Patriot News, for 22 years, until he retired in 2000.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are one daughter and son-in-law, Linda Lea and Raymond Opiela of Yakama, Washington; and three grandchildren, Joshua, Opiela, Christopher Opiela, and Elizabeth Dorenbacher.
Just a request that each 4th of July raise your red solo cup and remember the old guy as you party.
Funeral services will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.
