Bryan J. Swank, 30, Mifflinburg

Bryan J. Swank, 30, of 166 Gessner Lane, entered into rest Monday evening, August 24, 2009, at his home.

He was born February 21, 1979, in Lewisburg, a son of Judy K. (Gessner) Swank of Mifflinburg and the late Daniel Irvin Swank.

Bryan was a 1997 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School.

He was most recently employed at the Bucknell Bison, Bucknell University, and previously was employed at Ritz-Craft, Mifflinburg, and Penn Lyon Homes, Selinsgrove.

Bryan was a member of the Mifflinburg Assembly of God Church.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time in the outdoors, and sharing time with his nieces and nephew. Bryan had a special talent to make people laugh.

Surviving in addition to his mother, are two sisters, Stefanie S. Swank and Angyla M. Swank both of Mifflinburg; maternal grandmother, Helen Gessner of Mifflinburg; nieces, Myah Mitchell and Lola Mitchell; nephew, Kannon Mitchell; brother-in-law, Richard Mitchell, Jr. of Mifflinburg; Godfather, Dennis Reynolds of Mifflinburg; very special aunt, Martha Oberlin of Lewisburg; and his companion, Amanda Bowersox of Mifflinburg.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Irvin and Evelyn Swank; and his maternal grandfather, Harold Gessner.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2009, at the Assembly of God Church, 1001 Market St., Mifflinburg, with Rev. Johnny Blake, officiating.

Friends are invited to bring their favorite memories and photos of Bryan to be included in a memory collage, prior to the service saturday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Judy K. Swank, C/O Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, PA 17844.
