Bernette L. Wingert

Bernette L. Wingert, 86, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 10:41 a.m., Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.

She was born October 3, 1937, in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Lynn and Susan (Ulrich) Ulsh. On September 14, 1956, in Hagerstown, Maryland, she married Ronald E. Wingert, who survives.

Bernette was a graduate of John Harris High School, Harrisburg.

Earlier in life, she was employed as an emergency operator at Bell Telephone in Harrisburg.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 67 years, one daughter Susan L. Boyer and fiancé Gary Straw of Manheim; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Ronald E. Wingert, Jr. of Lebanon, Russel E. and Nancy Wingert of Harrisburg, Roger E. Wingert of Harrisburg, Reid E. Wingert of Harrisburg; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen T. Wingert; one brother, Lynn Ulsh; and two sisters, Ruth Ann Enck and Bernice Ulsh.

Funeral services will be private.
