Bernard C. Valentine, Sr., 91, of Millmont, entered into rest at 2:30 p.m., Monday, September 1, 2025, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont.
He was born December 3, 1933, in Millmont, a son of the late Harry and Gertrude (Kessler) Valentine. On December 24, 1953, he married the former Ethel “Becky” I. Beck, who preceded him in death February 10, 2025.
He was a 1951 graduate of Lewisburg High school.
Bernard served in the US Army from 1954, until his honorable discharge in 1956.
He was employed at American Home Foods, Milton, for 42 years.
Bernard enjoyed fishing, camping, and was always tinkering with a project.
He was a lifetime member of the Mifflinburg Moose, where he ran the kitchen.
Surviving is one daughter, Connie Valentine of Mifflinburg; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Bernie and Fran Valentine of Danville, Mike Valentine of Laurelton, and Steve Valentine of Mifflinburg; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters; and one daughter-in-law, Mel Valentine.
Family and friends are welcome from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday, September 10, at Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the memorial service will be held at 12, with Pastor Marc Snyder, officiating.
Burial for Bernard and Becky will be held privately in Mifflinburg Cemetery.
