Barbara Shrawder

MIFFLINBURG – Barbara A. Shrawder, 69, of 702 Shrawder Rd., for the past 45 years, entered into rest at 9:20 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2017, at her home.

She was born July 27, 1947, in Lewisburg, a daughter of Anna E. (Maxfield) Hartman of Mifflinburg, and the late Ralph J. Hartman.  On June 7, 1963, in West Milton, she married Carson J. Shrawder, who survives.

Barbara attended Mifflinburg High School and worked at Yorktowne, Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania House, Lewisburg and White Deer, and Apex Homes, Middleburg.

Barbara attended the Mifflinburg Alliance Church.

She was proud of her family and enjoyed reading, sewing, and traveling.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Carson, Jr. and Karen Shrawder of Sacramento, California, and Ralph R. and Vickie Shrawder of Mifflinburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Shawn Cook of Selinsgrove;  three brothers and five sisters-in-law, David and Sandi Hartman, Daniel and Virginia Hartman, Richard and Dawn Hartman, and Janet Hartman, all of Mifflinburg, and Linda Hartman of New Columbia; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Alice and Merrill Reitenbach, Susan Hartman, Janet and Michael Snyder, Peggy and Jerry Shields, and Lisa Hartman, all of Mifflinburg; five grandchildren, Nicole and her husband Eric Zimmerman, Brandy Shrawder, Carrie Shrawder, Dylan Cook, and Samantha Cook; and four great grandchildren, James, Nicholas, Natalie, and Olivia.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Roger.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in memory of Barbara to the FINISH Sarcoma Fund, finishsarcoma.org/donate, Community Foundation of Carrol County, 255 Clifton Blvd., Westminster, MD 21157.

Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, and 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Rev. Donald L. Hewlett, officiating.

Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
