Anna Ross

September 21, 1934 — July 16, 2016

LEWISBURG – Anna Lee Ross, of 576 Hollow Rd., since 1989, entered into rest on July 16, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove

She was born September 21, 1934, in Taylorsville, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Emanuel Hollar and Vivian (Pennell) Hollar Snyder.  On October 1, 1949, in West Milton, she married Kenneth W. Ross, who survives.

Anna had various jobs throughout her life and was devoted to her family.

Her favorite pastime was watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Anna enjoyed taking them on many day trips to visit parks and animal farms.  Her special times were traveling, camping, fishing, bird-watching, quilting, and going for Sheetz coffee.  Anna loved vacationing and visiting family in North Carolina.  She devoted most of her life giving special care for many family members and friends.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 66 years, are one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Harvey Graybill of Mifflinburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Karl and Joan Ross of Mifflinburg; two grandchildren, Amy Weller and her husband Tony, and Travis Ross; two great grandchildren, Kari Weller and Bekki Weller; a great great grandson, Wyatt Walls; two sisters, Betty Bailey of Granite Falls, North Carolina, and Beatrice Derr of Hickory, North Carolina; and one half-brother, Merrill Snyder of Lewisburg.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Isabelle Snyder; and one brother, Emanuel Hollar, Jr.

Friends and family are welcome from 10-11:00 am, Saturday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 am with Pastor James Sellers officiating.

Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Mifflinburg.

Family will provide flowers and suggest memorial contributions in Anna’s name be made to Heritage Springs Memory Care, 327 Farley Circle, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
