Anna Mcfarland

Anna Virginia McFarland, 86, a lifelong resident of 1825 Walbash Rd., Mifflinburg, passed away peacefully at 7:31 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2022, at her home with her family by her side.

She was born August 17, 1936, in Forest Hill, a daughter of the late Charles Elsworth Wilson and Virginia Mabel (Truckenmiller) Walter. She married Charles “Mackie” William McFarland, who preceded her in death November 27, 2012 after 50 years of marriage.

Anna attended Centennial School, located in Forest Hill.

She was employed at the Milton Shoe Factory for many years and was a self-employed housekeeper until retirement in 1999.

Anna enjoyed shopping with her family, cooking meals, tending to her flower beds, and watching her favorite television shows.

Surviving are two sons, Michael Erb and Scott McFarland both of Forest Hill; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Ronald Tyson and Kelly and Brent Ulrich all of Forest Hill; and 4 grandchildren, Steven Heimbach, Jamie Miller, Brianna Ulrich, and Mikayla McFarland.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Walter, Jr.; and three sisters, Pauline, Helen, and Dorothy; daughter-in-law, Sadie Rathfon-Erb.

A graveside service will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
