Andrew "Andy" Beachy

June 25, 1946 — February 14, 2015

New Berlin – Andrew “Andy” M. Beachy, 68, of 515 Front Street., went home to be with his Lord, at 1:03 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015, at his home peacefully after a ten year struggle with cancer, surrounded by his family.

He was born June 25, 1946, in Dover, Delaware, a son of the late Martin and Mary (Mast) Beachy.  On August 24, 1967, he married the former Nancy J. Yoder in Belleville.

Andy worked in the Sales and Service Department for Marcho Farms in Harleysville for 20 years.

He was a member of Shekinah Christian Fellowship, Middleburg where he enjoyed teaching Sunday School.  He was also a member of the Gideons.  Andy enjoyed life and learning new skills. He would take adult courses at New Berlin Vocational Tech.  He also enjoyed traveling and traveled to the West Coast, Alaska, Israel and Europe and to Mexico and Thailand to visit family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons and two daughter-in-laws, Daniel and Salina Beachy of Windfield, ,  Allen and Anne Beachy of Middleburg, and Andrew Beachy, Jr. of Winfield; three daughters and two son-in-laws, Regina and Dana Atkinson of Lock Haven, Dorothy Beachy of Windfield and Dorcas and Floyd Miller of New Berlin;  17 grandchildren; seven brothers, Jacob Beachy of Millington, Maryland, Daniel Beachy of Liberty, Kentucky, David Beachy of Millington, Maryland, Sam Beachy of Chestertown, Maryland and Levi Beachy, Perry Beachy and Martin Beachy, Jr. all of Winfield, two sisters, Anna Byler of Belleville and Clara Yoder of Heavener, Oklahoma.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son, Nathan Merle Beachy in 1991.

Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, at Shekinah Christian Fellowship, 592 Smith Road, Middleburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m., Tuesday, with officiating ministers, Dave Beiler, Ivan Stoltzfus, George Stoltzfus and David Swartzentruber.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
