Amanda Brooks Vanatta, 35, of 625 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg, entered into rest peacefully surrounded by family at 9:25 a.m., April 22, 2018, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Amanda was diagnosed in 2013 with melanoma cancer. She has overcome so many different trials and tribulations and still kept fighting. Her saying through it all was "I'm never giving up".
She was born August 4, 1982, in Lewisburg, a daughter of Kelly (Burgess) and Norman Reich of New Berlin, and Terry Vanatta of Mifflinburg.
Amanda was a 2001 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School.
She was employed at dollar general for 10 years and ended as a general manager.
Surviving in addition to her parents, are one daughter, Taliah Fenton of Mifflinburg; one son, Amari Vanatta of Mifflinburg; significant other Alexander L. James; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Felicia Vanatta and her fiancé Greg Ward of Mifflinburg, Ashley Vanatta of Lewisburg, and Natasha and Cleyon Bloomfield of Winfield; one brother, Jeremy Reich of Mifflinburg; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Friday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, with Albert Hartley officiating.
Family and friends are welcome to a time of fellowship immediately following the service at the Messiah Evangelical Luthern Church, 308 Market St., New Berlin.
