Albert Mook

Albert B. Mook, 89, of Shipton St., Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 9:10 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2020, at home.

He was born December 30, 1930 in Buffalo Township, a son of the late Willard W. and Beatrice E. (Reitenbach) Mook. On June 2, 1973, he married the former Renna L. (Krepps) Augustine, who survives.

Albert was educated in Union County Schools.

He was a member of The First Church of the Nazarene, Mifflinburg.

Albert’s first employment was with the Pennsylvania Department of Forestry and was there for seven years. His longest employment was at Pennsylvania House, Lewisburg, for 36 years until he retired in June 1991.

He was an avid hunter and has several trophies to show for his great interest in the sport. Albert loved to hike and spend time with his wife at their cabin. Most of all, he loved the Lord. He was always ready to help anyone in need, no matter how small or large the task would be.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 46 years, are two sons, Russell Mook of Watsontown, and Allen Mook of Penns Creek; one daughter, Cynthia Romig of Freeburg; one step-daughter, Carole Stewart of Burke, Virginia;  one brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Jane Mook of Forest Hill; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Esther.

A private graveside will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
