Robert “Whip” E. Heimbach, 61, of 71 Rapid Run West, Mifflinburg, for the past 28 years, and a lifelong resident of Forest Hill, entered into rest at 1:02 a.m., Thursday, March 29, 2018, at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport.
He was born October 8, 1956, in West Buffalo Township, a son of the late Albert and Myrtle (Aikey) Heimbach. On August 6, 1983, he married the former Vickie E. Moretz, who survives.
Whip attended Mifflinburg High School.
He was employed at Yorktown, Mifflinburg, from 1982 until 2007. Starting in 2007, he worked as a self-employed flag car escort vehicle driver.
Whip enjoyed the outdoors, campfires in the summer, and was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and adored his grandsons and great grandsons. Whip was a loving and caring man, and was loved by many.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 34 years, are one son, Shawn A. Feaster of Mifflinburg; one daughter, Angela S. Renner of Mifflinburg; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Raymond and Denise Heimbach of Missouri, Kenneth Heimbach of Missouri, and Albert, Jr. and Nanette of Virginia; seven sisters and two brothers-in-law, Charlotte and Wallace Bowersox of Winfield, Rosalie and James Starks of Mifflinburg, Patricia Jows of Penns Creek, Wanda Wert of Sunbury, Florence Martin of Florida, Vera Betz of Mifflinburg, and Carol Tkach of Penns Creek; three grandsons and their spouses, Cory and Brooke Renner of Lewisburg, Anthony and Meleah Renner of Mifflinburg, and Brandon Renner of Mifflinburg; and three great grandsons, Nik, Bo, and Jase.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Willard, Bernard, and Harold Heimbach; and three sisters, Arlene Smith, Ruth Ely, and Barb Walter.
Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Whip’s nephew, Allen Smith, officiating.
Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
