Jerry Dean Swartzlander, 65, of 4103 Buffalo Rd., Lewisburg, entered into rest at 4:22 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born June 28, 1953, in Elkhart, Indiana, a son of the late Charles and Annamae (Martz) Swartzlander. On May 10, 1986, in West Milton, he married the love of his life, the former Deborah Belford, who survives.
Jerry was a 1971 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
He was employed as a truck driver at Penn Recycling, Williamsport, and earlier in life worked at Mark Cromley Trucking, Lewisburg, and Minuteman, Montandon.
Jerry enjoyed driving trucks, riding his lawnmowers, his dogs Zoey and Stella, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 33 years, are one daughter and son-in-law, Lindsey and Allen Meyer of Montandon; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jerry Swartzlander, Jr. of Selinsgrove, Daniel and Wendy Swartzlander of Midland, Texas, and Jeffrey Swartzlander; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Donna Swartzlander of Mifflinburg; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty Yohn and Scott Rhoades of New Bloomfield, RoxAnne and Harold Trego of Mifflinburg, and Wanda and Chester Eisenhower of Mifflinburg; four grandchildren, Trinity, Zachary, Keenyn, and Katelynn; and mother-in-law, Doris Belford of Lewisburg.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Ellen Swartzlander; and father-in-law, Lee Belford.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, at the Roupp Funeral Home Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, with Rev. Harry Harter and Pastor Butch Woolsey, officiating.
