Annette Ellen HouseSeptember 4, 1962 ~ July 21, 2017 (age 54)
Annette Ellen House, 54, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017 at her home in Schwenksville.
She was born September 4, 1962, in Fargo, North Dakota, a daughter of Milton House, of Lewisburg, and the late Ruth (Updegraff) House.
Annette grew up with her parents, sister Kathleen, and brothers Keith and Steven as their family made homes in several states across the country. Annette was valedictorian of her class of 1980 at Sumter High School in Sumter, South Carolina. She graduated summa cum laude from Clemson University with a degree in textile chemistry. Annette earned a Fulbright Scholarship and spent a year of study in Berlin, Germany.
Annette went on to receive a Masters in International Business from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. There she met her husband, Andrew P. Hay (later divorced). Annette and Andrew brought into the world a son Jorden, and a daughter, Elena. Annette developed a career as a marketing strategist in the pharmacological business – initially with Merck and most recently she held the position of Director, Commercial Development -- Pfizer Global Innovative Products.
Annette enjoyed music, travel, her work and time with her many friends and family. Annette was brilliant, kind, and vibrant, and she lived a full and wonderful life. She was very much loved and will be sorely missed.
Surviving in addition to her father, her children, and her siblings, are six nieces and nephews.
SERVICE DETAILS ANNOUNCED:
We will be having a memorial gathering for friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, others who shared life with my wonderful sister Annette.
The gathering will be on August 19th from 11am to 2pm at Columbia Station, an event venue in Phoenixville, PA (Philly area).
We want this to be a happy gathering where those who knew and loved Annette can be with and share company and conversation with the many others who were part of Annette's life and world.
Throughout the 3 hour gathering we will have ample quantities and varieties of food - available to consume as and when you might want it. And we will have a cash only bar (no credit cards).
I would describe this as a "rolling event". There is no fixed schedule outside of a beginning time (11am) and an ending time (2pm). Arrive at any time between 11 and 2, leave at any time. It may come up that one or more groups of us want to continue beyond 2 pm. That would be fine - we'd just have to find and move on to other location(s) beyond 2 pm. More details below.
Keith (Annette's NY brother)
PS: the above plans will not change, but we may add more information over next few days, so you may want to bookmark this post and check for additions just ahead of the gathering.
